Wear What You Will
Zest Wear What You Will

This hilarious retelling of Shakespear's Twelfth Night took audiences inside the stylish world of Fashionista Magazine, where appearances are not quite what they seem and everyone has fallen madly in love with the wrong person!

Lincolnshire's most innovative youth theatre came back in March 2011 with it's third original sell-out production!

The writing process for 'Wear What You Will' began back in May 2010 with the young cast being set the task of creating their own adaptation of a Shakespeare play.

The humour, farce, comedy and mayhem in 'Twelfth Night' made it jump out a mile! Pretty soon the talented cast were working through each scene and putting it into their own words. An I.T. department and a supermarket were both possible settings for our show, but it was the style, glamour and sparkle of the fashion industry that caught our eye and seemed to best fit the elements of disguise within 'Twelfth Night'. We may have changed the setting, modernised the language, added our own songs and played with some of the characters but we stayed lovingly close to the madness and mayhem of Shakespeare's original.

This outrageous production was filled with music, comedy, mistaken identity, and romance. Audiences at Lincoln Performing Arts Centre were soon dancing in the aisles and screaming out for more!!!

No Place Like Home
Zest Wear What You Will

Hillside Close is just like any other street. But when a series of incidents tragically force the neighbourhood together they realise that home is much more than just bricks and mortar.

"A youth theatre production usually consists of some life-draining play that no one has ever heard of. Neon Youth Theatre doesn't just go against this stereotype; they trample all over it with their all singing, all dancing, and very talented feet." Lincolnista .com

No Place Like Home was Neon Youth Theatre's second original production and firmly cemented the group's reputation as Lincolnshire's most innovative and creative youth theatre. The cast of 27 young people started writing the show in September 2009 based entirely on their own ideas. Six original songs were also written by one of the cast.

This incredibly funny and often moving production was performed to full houses every night. At it's heart No Place Like Home deals with the importance of friends, family and neighbours and what can happen if these fragile relationships aren't handled with love and care.

Four Stories High

Zest Creative Arts: Choked Up

Meet the teachers, pupils and parents of Greymoor High School as they journey through yet another academic year of hormones, hoodies, binge drinking, truancy and megaphones!?

Neon Youth Theatre started creating this show all the way back in June 2008. In the beginning we had no title and no characters, all we did know was the show was going to be about a year in the life of a school. We started improvising scenes based on the cast's experiences of going to school and growing up and within a few hours a whole load of colourful characters started to come to life. Some of our ideas came to us in our first rehearsal, some took ages to think of and some ideas were so random we don't even know where they came from!

Think Skins, mixed with a large dollop of Hollyoaks, together a dash of Green Wing and a light sprinkling of The Inbetweeners. This production was outrageously entertaining, fast paced and very honest look at life behind the doors of an average British secondary school!!!
